Headlights dont work at all

The high beams or low beams dont work at all. The fogs still work just fine. But nothing else will. The blinkers and parking lights still work, and all rear lights. Just the h/L. I have projectors and HID lows, and silverstar highs. Neither will turn on. I can pull the lever to engage the high beams but nothing works, and the dash indicator doesnt turn on when pulled. I checked all the fuses that I could think of and they are all good. I have more problems then anyone I know . It is odd because both lights just went out. It isnt like just one went bad, but both. I drove to a parking lot with them on, turned them to parking lights and was sitting there with friends and listening to music, then i turned them off, still listening to music, then turned on the truck and tried to turn on the head lights and nothing worked. What could this be?

if its your HID's id check the ballast(s) thats what my problem was, although when my ballast went out the other light still worked. I just did the "fogs with highbeam" mod (fogs come on with parking lights) becuase my fogs no longer performed this function after I installed the HID kit and it also cured the high beam light on. and I was good to drive till i got a new set of ballasts. Also you might check the connection of your HID kit to your Stock harness it may have come loose if its plug and play.

I have the fog with highbeam mod too. And everything was working fine till today. Im thinking a relay may have gone bad since my hid lows and regular highs don't work. Btw they won't turn on if I put the switch on auto either.

If you have that mod you might check that exact relay. I can tell you they are 15 bucks at autozone...

Im not sure how you could check it other than to buy one and trade them out and see if it worked. if not then take it back. Im no electrical expert so i may be wrong all together...I thought that relay controled the heads and fogs. if your fogs are working then i dont think the relay is the problem. Havent you had alot of problems with your head/fog lights this year?

I have had a lot of problems. But most were unrelated to this. For instance my cheap HID's blew. And then the 55w HID's blew fuses, but I replaced those. But my high beams still worked. now nothing at all works.

I figured out the problem, now to find the solution. There is a short somewhere in the harness for the low beams. It keeps blowing fuses when tried to turn on the low beams. Looks like tomorrow I get to rip it apart and start searching for exposed wires.
