Exclamation Ignition problems/stuck key

Hey guys, first problem I've had with the 07' Today I wne to pull the key out and it wouldn't come out. I made sure it was in park and tried again with no luck. After pulling on it and shaking it a bit it finally popped out. Then I put the key back in and tried to start the truck and the key wouldn't turn. I shook it around a little and it started, but then I shut it down and pulled the key out and the chimming stayed on like the key was still in the ignition. I tried the key again and it worked, just feels sticky. Should I try a little WD-40 or pull off the gryphon and take it to the stealership?

+3... I'd be afraid to mess something else up and they blame it on me and not pay to fix it.

Try unhooking your battery and then see if the key turns freely. This same thing happened to my fusion and it turned out it was a trim piece that stuck inside the shift handle that got hung up on the "must be in park for the key to come out" safety switch. There was a TSB from ford about it (for the fusion) but it was $175 fix and my car is way out of warranty, I took the piece off and did a little trimming and have not had an issue since.
