What do you guys think?

alright guys i'm gettin a new truck soon, and i came across these 2:

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...3&aff=national

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...0&rdpage=thumb

Now the 1st one is already lifted, etc, i would just get new tires.
the 2nd one seems a little better condition but i would have to fork out the cash for the lift and stuff. What would you guys do?

I would say go w/ what's behind curtain No. 1! You're not really paying for all the mods someone else has put into it, and you wouldn't have to pay for them directly, either. (and it's got "lower" miles)

Truck No. 2, you'd have to fork out all the dough for the lift, mods, etc, plus it'll take time to get the truck where you want it, whereas, seller No. 1's blood, sweat, & tears has started it for you.

Personally, I wouldn't get an '04. I know there are a lot of guys that are happy with theirs, but I'm leery to buy a vehicle from the first year of a generation. Heard too many horror stories about peoples vehicles that are of the first year of a re-design having pita problems with them.

good luck!

ooh! after further review, No. 2 is in Macon. Number 1 is in Dacatur. I see how people drive here. Macon might just be a little less hectic of a place to buy a used vehicle from- as far a stop & go traffic, fender benders, constant WOT & hard braking...

Keep us posted.

I'm done now.

I agree, I like the lifted one too, just slap some 37s on there (trim up the fenders) and a black UWS low-profile toolbox, some Firestick antennas on each side and i'd be good to go! lol

I like the 1st one because I hate the gray interior on the 2nd. I don't know if I'd buy a lifted truck 2nd hand. If it was someone I knew and knew how it was cared for, possibly.

My local Ford Dealer has brand new 2008 F150 4x4 extended cabs for $20,400 - I would pay just a little more money and buy a new one.

They have several but only have two at $20K and they are both STX 4x4 scabs but do have the power windows, cruise, and other goodies. They have around 6-8 XLT's that are around $23.5K and a couple super crew 4x4's for $27K

i would prolly go with NO.1

but, i would be skeptical about buying a lifted truck with 61, 000 miles ya kno

either way its a win , win as long as ur in an F-150

opt. 1 is okay at best, Id spend too much redoing things my way. Then agian im super picky..

opt. 2 is where id go cuase everything i do will be to my tastes and i wont spend any money with "do overs" and im getting what i want and can see what goes into it.

I dont think you can go wrong with either though, those are just my picky opinion...

They're both awesome, I am kinda likin option No. 2 a little more n more like FX4life said I would make it how i like it, and i've always LOVED white/tan f150's with BLACK wheels! But, i dont have a lot of money, i'm a starving 18 yr old lol if i went with No. 2 it wouldnt be lifted for a good while til i save up enough money to do it, or just get a loan.. And No, I dont go to Georgia but i am hoping to go next year! If they accept me lol

but if i went with No. 1 i would definatly swap out the tires ASAP. and put some lights on that pre-runner bar thing on the front lol. I like the brush guard of No 2 better than that pre-runner thing on no. 1

We dont even know what kinda lift it is, it may be absolute trash like a whiplash kit. Also if it was lifted it may have been abused offroad, always hard to tell.

I say if the lift is a decent brand and it shows no signs of offroad damage go with option 1, anything doesnt look roght 2 is probably a safer bet
