STX x-cab window, and power front

I went to install front power windows in my STX F150. After getting the whole drivers side door panel off and window regulator out, I go to put my new OEM regulator and motor in... It figures it wouldn't work out as planned. After tryin to install (with one hand due to tape not holding window up) it does not fit. After doing research i find they gave me the rear window regulators for a crew cab. Now my truck is all torn apart and can't finish the job.... good thing I have a work truck i can use. But while i was in the mood I took my x-cab door panel off and sure enough there is a manual regulator in there. I use a wrench and the window goes down!! So after tinkering around i take apart my front regulator and take the extended piece that connects to the window crank and swap it with the x-cab one and it worked!! the next thing I had to do was drill a whole in the door panel and cut the window crank smaller so it won't hit the arm wrest. I plan on only using the back windows down for my dogs to stick there heads out. Well it worked and I will post some pics for those interested when I finish things up. Sorry so long but i'm sure some might want the info as I would have before doing the job.

Sounds like there was some interesting MacGuyver work involved with your project. At least you were able to get them working and put the truck back together. Good job!
