Audiophile Factory Sub and Amp Questions??

I was wondering if the audiophile factory sub and amp out of another truck would hook up to my truck. If not what would it take. It seems as if it is just a plug in setup, How do I know if I have that plug? Also I dont have the factory head unit anymore i Have a clarion MAX675VDII. And how do they sound. I dont want a really hard hitting system but just some more bas and thump. Thanks Jesse

I have the audiophile system in my truck, and I really like it. Perfect for me, but If you want something with a little more thump, I would say go aftermarket. Probably wouldn't cost much more or maybe the same or less as the audiophile. Especially since your not running the stock head unit.

On the other hand, I'm no audio expert so I could be completely off.

x2 i like the audiophile sub, but if i were u id just get an aftermarket sub, esp since u already have an aftermarket H/u.

what kind of music do you listen to, how much bass do u really want?
if ur just lookin for a nice lil thump that shakes the rearview mirror , then go with the audiophile, but any more , go aftermarket .

i would also like to get new door speakers, the stocks ones suck

I put an 05 audiophile HU and sub in my 04 (wanted the MP3) the harness was not there, but I have an XLT and the Audiophile was not available on the XLT in 04, so that may be why. My friend has an 05 FX4, he had the harness (for the sub) from the rear seat up to the drivers kick panel, but I had to make a harness to go the rest of the way. There are quite a few posts here about upgrading, they'll tell you what to look for.

Ditto. I just finished the same project this last weekend. I installed a 6 disc audiophile head unit, factory sub and amp, and made my own harness from the amp/sub to the h/u. Reasonably simple.

The six MP3 cds are plenty for me, but thanks.

I paid $250 for the HU and $50 for the sub and amp, I think I got lucky with the sub though, I see them going for more than that lately.
