Where's a Rundown Protected Circuit Wire?

On my 2008 F-150 Screw, I'm installing lights and a 12V power point in the bed of my truck. I've read the posts on tapping power from the battery, but I want rundown protection. Where can I get a ciruit for this? I had a box hit the light switch in the bed on a past truck and luckily found the light on before the battery went dead. In the middle of the woods in December, I might not be that lucky. I've already run a wire to the threshold on the driver's side, but can't find a wire that is best to tap into. Thanks.

Fine. If nobody wants to play, I'll figure it out myself.

I decided to tap into the hot side of my interior dome light. It's always hot, and it's rundown protected.

I found an easy solution... since I had the same problem. I went to RadioShack, and wired up a 12v buzzer...catalog # 273-055. It is very small, but the BUZZ can't be missed. It is just inline behind the switch panel.

Solved my problem!
