Warranty type question

I have a 05 Crew that was out of warranty by date the last week of May. Milage is 34000. In early July I called the dealership to ask them when my warrany was up because I had what I thought was a oil leak. Was told I was out of warranty so I didn't rush it in. I took the truck in yesterday and asked them while it was there to fix the 9.5-10.5m.p.g. is gets also....kinda laughing as I said it.
Anyways, they call and say I have a rear main seal that is bad as well as my mass air sensor. I complained alittle and the service advisor said they could run some kind of deal where they would pay the first 7-800 of the repair, but I had to get the rest. My questions are would your dealership do more or less for you? Is that bad sensor really a fuel milage killer? Is that sensor really about 300 dollars?

I would probably be out of luck at my dealer trying to get them to cover it too. I just noticed that it looks like my rear seal is starting to leak too. I'm out warranty by a couple of thousand miles. I think that when I take my truck truck in for brake line recall I'll have them look at the leak and see if they will cover any of it.

btw how much did they quote for rear seal?

Thanks
