nope.. lol. wow... well i cant blame you the first time i did it it took me about 15min to figure it out, but it was just me. but ok there are two tabs behind the top half seat right were the seatbelt (bottom) are at. all you have to do it push them in, as soon as one gets loose, put somthing under the top half seat so that it dosent lock again, then do the other side.

p.s. make sure u unbolt the top of the seat belt box. the one thats in the middle.

Use a flat board like a ruler and push it between the cushions to recess the tabs. When you have the tabs pushed in just lift on the seat back. Might hit search in the audio forum there are several photo guides in there.

actually just read this:

On my 05' the plastic tabs have a bit of a hook on the end so I had to make sure I didn't pull up while pressing back. I used a couple of long phillips screwdrivers to release them, leaving the screwdrivers in place, then just lift.

One of the most painful things I have ever done.

My hands hurt so bad.... Is this how the factory guys take these out? There has to be some sort of special tool they have.

Also, just wanted to add, that once you get it off and you are putting it back on. PLEASE make sure that you get all the top clips in place before you slide it down in the bottom clips. I missed two of them and the bottom latched, and I thought I would never get it back off again. With the top clips outside their slots, it pushed the top out making the bottom clips hook more.

I also lost a little blood on this one. The metal plate/bar that the center seat belt bolts to in the middle is sharp as a knife! So be careful out there.

Sadly, he's right. It takes a lot of effort and perseverance. Once I was able to get mine out a few months ago I could do it in about 2 minutes.

What I did though, was take a 20 oz. bottle of pop (full so it doesn't compress) and slide it under one side after getting that side unhooked. This worked well because that was at hand. After several attempts of getting one side unhooked then working on the other side only to have the first side slide back down and latch I figured it out. I felt like a real idiot after this happened twice and thought of using a bottle in the form of a "shim" to keep the first side from latching.

Good luck.
