$15k + for the right buyer

you'd be lucky to get $12-14k at a dealer though for trade-in

Whatever the highest bidder is willing to give you.

Tough time to be trying to sell a lifted truck with gas prices the way they are. Sounds like a nice truck though and with the right seller you may be able to get $15k out of it. Dealer will hit you for the lift though because they'll think you lifted it to take it off road and beat it up. Then they'll turn around and mark up the price because of the lift.

Wow 15K with blue book being $21,875 for NADA and 24K on KBB. I was just curious Defiantly would not be EBAYing it, I know the markets soft but it isn't that soft here in Utah. I had two neighbors with in the last couple months buy used F150's and niether of them where below 25K one an 2005 with 40k miles on it and one an 2006 with 32K miles on it. the 2006 was stock and the 2005 was lifted.

I just bought a 2006 Two Tone Silver FX4 in perfect condition with 18,100 miles on it. It was issued in Oct. 06 so it isnt even 2 years old. The truck looks brand new. I paid the guy $17,600. That may give you an idea of how soft the market is here in North Carolina.

That's about what they used to sell for when the truck was 4 years old. It looks like they have dropped two years in value, or dropped three years over the last year. It's a buyers market out there if you looking to pick up a pickup.

It may also be a good time to trade up if you plan to continue driving one no matter what price gas is.

Traded in my 2003 screw 4x4 7 months ago with over 100,000 miles for $12,800.

If i would have waited til now would never of got that... but still you can buy a brand new truck for almost half price right now. So i guess it might not have mattered.

your neighbors got robbed then, i've seen used 08's for 25 grand already. dealer in town has a fx4 with all the option but leather for 25,500 and its got 7800 miles on it. blue books means nothing these days, sad but true. anyone that pays blue book is buying something hard to find or something, fx4's are a dime a dozen these days. with gas being an issue to most, it even drives the price down more if someone offered me 25g's for my truck i'd take it and run and mine just hit 12k tonight.

It's all about the bottom line.

The bottom line may be less.

Back in 2006 I was offered $14,000 for my 01, and $7000 off of MSRP on a new 06. Now in 2008 I'm offered only $8000 for my 01 truck and $13000 off on a new 08. It's the same $21,000 off, and I drove the 01 for two more years.

If I had an 03, there would be $23,000 off of a 45k 08.

The bottom line is simple. What number would it take? Why not subtract 2k from your best number, and run it by a dealer. I'll bet you'll be surprised at their response even if they don't go for it.

Good point, I was offered an 08 Lariat six months old with 9000 miles stickered at $42,000 for $28,000. They had one just like it NEW, and the wanted 2k more for that one.

"Every option but leather" that sounds funny, "loaded" without leather... I'm not here to argue with you guys! If you guy's say you think its worth $7999.00 I am cool with that. It surely doesn't mean I would sale it for that and I refuse to ever trade a vehicle in, you will always get robbed in that process no matter how great of a deal you think your getting. I was just curious to see some fellow F150 owners opinions and in my opinion bluebook still means what the bank will lend someone so I would say it plays a significant roll in pricing.

It's a matter of supply and demand. Right now the buyers are gone. It's a buyers market. It's tough to sell your own vehicle in a buyers market. My neighbor has a red 02 Scab he has been selling all summer. He keeps dropping the price, but it is still there. It's a clean looking truck in great shape. There are buyers out there, but not one buyer for every truck.

I don't think $7,999 is serious. I thought 18 to 20 grand was serious. I'll estimate 15k in trade.
