It was the injectors. Just picked it up from Ford free of charge.

If you have an '05/'06 and this happens to you at least you know its covered for 11yrs/125,00 miles free of charge!

I never received a copy of the letter either, although I own a 2005 model...thanks Ford.

THe problem is that its not really a fix for the problem. which is poor injector quality. Ford has basically said they will wait for you to have the problem, and then maybe help you(by replacing the ONE faulty injector) if you are under 120k miles. They should replace the cause of the problem, the injectors.

It also says to me that I'm on my own with their screw up after 120k miles, which I guess is how long they expect owners to keep their trucks. There will be some very broke and pissed off owners who have to flip the bill for injector/cat replacements or even worse short block replacements at 121kmiles. Lets not forget, 120k miles by todays auto standards is nothing. I've got an isuzu truck with 250k miles thats my daily driver and I feel its more reliable than my F150 with 50k miles.
