Part # Request Please

I need a drivers side mirror for a 2007 Luxury Package FX4 F-150. It's a power mirror with turn signal, heated glass, and auto dimming feature. The skull cap is painted to match the truck, but my skull cap is in ok and I do not need a new one.

I only need the mirror itself without the skull cap and the glass.

Thank you,
Rich

I just called my local dealer. They gave me part # 7L3Z-17683-CB.

Could someone please confirm that. Sorry, but this girl in my parts dept. has ordered me the wrong part more than once.

Just go to or call the dealer. You will need the last seven digits of your vin#. Should run about 30 bucks for the glass (plastic)

I am actually looking for a new drivers side mirror as well. I am now becoming a little confused. My issue is, it looks like someone hit my mirror with a bat. It is totally functional but the mirror / glass is cracked to all bejeeesus. I have a 2006 KR F150 4dr Screw. Dealer said I could not replace glass but at the tune of $500 I could purchase a new mirror assembly. Whooah that is spendy. He said because I have the heated mirrors I can't replace the glass. Anyone care to confirm this??? Also I found one at a salvage operation online, but I'm confused now... I'm not sure which mirror is the right one. What is the puddle lamp, and what is memory. These two options are not in the listing for the mirror I've found. Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,
Zak

Roush,

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I cannot just purchase the glass. If one has a heated mirror the whole assembly needs to be purchased. I searched Tasca and they did not have the assembly I need. I keep looking, but if anyone has one or has a suggestion where to look I am wide open to any ideas.

Thanks in advance,

Zak

Thats wrong because I bought just the glass from my dealer and I have heated mirrors. See my thread above about the vin number.

Are you sure? They (ford dealer) specifically said over the phone, that I need to replace the whole assembly. I would LOVE to only replace the glass as that is about 450$ cheaper. I'll call them again and hopefully speak with someone else. Thanks for you insistence. If I can replace the glass, how do i get the old off? Is it attached by an adhesive or is there hardware?

Thanks again,

Zak

i too think you can buy just the glass. i have a 06 with heat, turn signal would have just bought the glass but it was anothers fault so i have a drivers side mirror assembly minus the glass i'd be willing to part with.
