Autospring front leveling spacers...

Or I think it was fabtech I saw makes springs and struts for your truck...
The Fabtech route will cost a bit more tho. Only looking at about 80 for the spacers.

I just ordered some 2.5 inch spacers and a 3 inch block for my 4x4 today!!
Great company to deal with!!

Here's the link: http://www.autospringcorp.com/

Side note: FYI... I'd stick with Autospring kits if you go for a leveling kit because they build there's with an offset so that you will have minimal wear to your ball joints other companys dont....

All you need is a leveling kit up front and like you said, the rear blocks. You can get a 2 inch or a 2.5 inch spacer. Every truck is different so I would suggest measuring the front of your truck and get stock numbers from a 4x4. That will let you know if you need the 2 or the 2.5 .

he needs more than just a leveling kit up front. if he wasn't putting the rear 4x4 blocks in, the leveling kit would be enough.

to truly sit like a 4x4, get the 4x4 front coils, the 4x4 rear blocks...then get a leveling kit if you want to sit high and level

The size difference between a 4x2 and a 4x4 is about two inches. If he adds the front coils and the leveling kit that would add about 4 inchs of lift. That would put severe stress on the ball joints. He could add the coils by them self or just add the levleing kit.

wouldnt it just be the exact same as a 4x4 with a leveling kit? so every 4x4 out here with a leveling kit had sever stress on the balljoints?

I think the 4x4s have a different setup up front. What it is, im not sure. I wish I could be of more help. Maybe one the senior gurus will drop in. But from reading everything here. That is what has been said here. You can prob. do it but it will be very bad for your front suspension. Just trying to help out shocker.

sorry man, but wrong on both accounts

4x4 and 4x2 share the same components. 4x4 gets the taller coil assembly and half-shafts, but otherwise identical. the 4x4 coil is 1-2" taller.

basically, a 4x4 coil will make the truck sit roughly dead level. then the rear 4x4 blocks will make it sit like a OEM 4x4. if he wants more space, he can then install a coil spring spacer (leveling kit).

without the spacer, a 33" tire should fit with 0 problems. with the spacer, I see no reason a 35" tire won't fit like the 4x4's do

see the pics below

4x2 front end

btw, the quickest, cheapest and easiest way to get some front end lifting is just to install a 2.5" or 3" kit ontop of the OEM 4x2 coils.

only cost you $90 or less and you can still clear 33-34" tires. I think this would be your best bet. and if it's not enough, you can always try another approach and sell the kit to another member here
