Engine Woes

Alright last thursday my truck started to idle really rough so i took it to autozone and got a diagnostic reading and it pulled the P2106 code so i took it to the dealership, three days later they finally look at it and tell me it's my "aftermarket stuff" which the only thing is a K&N CAI which has the throttle body spacer which relocates the throttle body and they said my throttle body was shot because it was tilted at a 45degree angle from the K&N... sounds like bull **** to me, but i guess i'm gonna order a new throttle body if someone could help me out i'd really appreciate it if you think you know what is wrong.

How can you rotate you throttle body 45 degrees? It only bolts on one way.

I can tell you, that it might be the K&N... it might have fowled up the MAF sensor.

I had this happen on my sucky Ford Escape with a out-of-the-box K&N airfilter... with barely any oil.

K&N CAI's for the 5.4L have an adapter which goes between the throttle body and the plenum; thus the throttle body sits at an angle.

OP: The only thing I can think of is that the wires to the throttle body coming from the passenger side of the TB barely reaches it after the K&N install; and it might have caused problems with the connection or cause the actuator to fail. I made sure to give that particular wiring more slack when I saw how tight it was.

edit: everything I've looked up suggests either an actuator failure or a wiring/connection problem. Check this out: http://foxed.ca/rx7manual/2003mazdar...202100W02.html

I know when my edge threw the p2106 code, I replaced the TPS and It fixed it. Then it started again, and it turned out to be my transmission.
