Alternator-Group Buy?

This is nothing official, I just sent an email to the webmaster asking for his thoughts and approval. I will be needing a new alternator here very shortly, and I saw on past threads alot of other people were interested also. Upon hearing back from the webmaster about if they are alright with this I was thinking of trying to do a group buy for High Output Alternators for our vehicles.

As for pricing, or who we might go through, or any information past what I just put, I dont have a clue haha. But if the Webmaster is down, ill see what I can work with (provided there is enough interest) and then update this further.

So I guess if you would be interested, then just put I might be or if the price is right or just something so I can keep a basic count.

my reference to motorcityreman.com's quality: starts on page 10 post 139 and continues on. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...yreman&page=10

I am waiting a call back from MotorCityReman.com. They have done a few alternators for some guys here and everyone here seems very pleased with them. Their alternators seem to work very well with out PCM's. Ill update this once I hear back from them.

MotorCityReman.com has said they would do our group buy. They asked for me to turn in a list of the number of people interested and

year
make
model
engine size
amp size desired (160, 170,200,250)

So I will go ahead and put mine down. once we figure out how many people are interested we can get a price and then decide then if we want to go through with the order.

2004
ford
f150
5.4 330 CI
250 amp

Post the price. Nathan Peddicord built mine and it was cheaper than anyone else on the net. His alternators are used in several ultra high end audio setups for competitions. So you might check with him also, cause he's probably cheaper than your group buy price will be. He was considerably cheaper than MotorCityReman.com online price for my build but that was near 2 years ago for my 250. I'll let him know about this thread cause he may offer a even better price if the order is big.

www.excessiveamperage.com

I just got a email back from Nat, he'll do a group buy if you all want.

The largest they make is a 250 they said.

Excessive Amerage got back to me with their prices here is what I got from them

200 amp $335

250 amp $425

300 amp $495

Pretty high, compared to a 369.97 price for f150truck'n alternator. But if there is more interest to go to ExcessiveAmperage im fine with that as long as we get a good price for the amp! Especially if they do 300 amps like some have wanted.

No that is their original prices compared to 369 or 379 that Truckin mentioned they gave him for a 250 amp alternator. I havent talked to Excessive Amerage about their alts other then my personal quote.

We will need more than 3 people interested though to be successful at this I would imagine!
