Leveled with New Tires & Wheels

Well i finally took the plunge and got all my stuff ordered for the truck. I been waiting since christmas to level this thing just haven't had the time to really search around and find some tires. I really wanted 33's but with my dad working at General/Continental Tire he got me the General Grabber's for over half off so i couldn't pass up the deal one 32's.

Anyways it has a 2.5 autospring in the front. With 265/70R17 General Grabber AT 2s and Eagle Alloy 186 Series 17x9s.

Here are some pics i took at my neighbors shop downtown. And the truck is dirty been raining almost non stop here.

Thank ya much. I'm very happy with it. Even just after leveling i thought it changed the whole looks of the truck. I think my next mod will most likely be a FX2 grille. Whats everyone's opinions on that?

nice...and that extra .2" of tire height really shows

seriously though, a set of FX4 flares would really set off the truck as well as that FX2 grill you are talking about

Actually .6" of size haha. I thought about FX4 fender flares but i don't know if i want flares. Should i get red flares or what color? I'm not sure how it would look and if i would like it.

Those 265's look wide, looks great. I like the look of a stock truck with a slight lift and oversize tires. Nice wheel pick too. I also like the stock honeycomb grill with the red.

Yeah the tires are 10.4" wide. Just wide enough to sling mud all down my truck haha.

I think the grille would look good, maybe look into the roush. But the tires and wheels look real good, its good to see bullet hole rims for once. Btw I have the same rims I am just waiting until I can afford some tires. What is your mpg with the new setup?

look at FX4life's truck. Obviously, you need some smaller flares, but they would look good.

my vote is for the Red Lariat Flares, or unpainted FX4 flares. To me, the black/blue FX4 flares will provide better contrast and tie in with the door handles and mirrors

Well i live out in the country so most of my driving is town. So, with that said i get about 15 in town. I take it pretty easy usually don't get on it. Cops are good at catching people for that around here. I haven't really did any highway driving with the new tires so i couldn't tell you. It hasn't really effected my mpg much.

Also, i like the looks of it with no flares to be honest. If i get Lariat or FX4 flares are they really going to add any protection?

you might gain 1/2"-1" of coverage with stock, im not sure tho i never measured them. My bushwackers add 2" of coverage and my tires still stick out, but i planned it that way...

Yeah i mean if they aren't really going to add protection i would rather just keep it how it is.
