HELP!!! I Opened my BIG MOUTH Today
As the other poster said, you might not want to rule out nitrous if you're serious. Performance/value factor is huge. The torque will hit you like a ton of bricks. Of course it's somewhat of a calculated risk. But, CAI, chips, headers, exhaust, TB, etc. amount to a few hp at best. What's absurd about all these items is that you could easily dump $1000-1500 and barely notice the difference.
One other option would be a 4.56:1 ring & pinion. You might hold him off to the 60 ft. mark.

Dammit, if you have an Edge, just get some gas, set it to level III and select custom tune. Set shift for 4,4,3, WOT setting at 1.9, and floor it. I raced a guy up the street that had the Screw version of the Tundra, and kicked his @ss. He didn't know I was chipped though, and I thought my transmission was going to explode doing it. I won though...screw him.

Forget the CAI. Get a tuner, and change just the rear gear now to 4.10s (4.56 if you have the 32 plus tires). You can do the front later.
Get yourself a tank of 93 octane, set your Edge for level III, set shift firmness at 4,4,3, and WOT at 1.9 You'll smoke him. I did. They have the horsies, but I'm not sure about their powerbands with the xmsn. They're really not super fast. I think a Dodge 1500 with the Hemi could take one too.
Nothing sort of a Supercharger or NOS will beat these things with an F-150unless you have some SERIOUS bolt-ons and motor work.
