They called & said they brought home a Redfire XL today. They seemed happy with it, so that is all that matters.

You're right, if their happy with the purchase that's key.
I bought an '08 XL three weeks ago, A-plan. MSRP was around 21k, and I ended up financing about 12,300. I was over milage on my '06 XLT S-cab 4wd, and added some bigger tires. At 5.9% financing at 5 years my payments are around 235.00, 0 down, didn't pay a dime for a month. Nice truck, options are cloth, cd, bedliner, cruise, tow package, a/c, 3.55 ls. It is a stick, which is something I missed from having one 10 years ago. Rebates were 9k on my truck, which imo is a great deal, 14k is great also.

I've been shoping for a 08 reg cab xlt longbed and have looked at two.

1.) sticker $31.2K, with employee pricing + $2K customer cash + $1K ford credit cash they said I could have it for $24K, About $7200 off sticker

2.) sticker $31.8K, this dealer would only give me $2000 customer cash OR $1000 ford credit cash. BS Then they would give me Ford credit at 7.99%. I had a preapproved ford credit at 1.9%. Tomany shenanagans!

I'm going to look at a xl longbed reg cab tonight at a different dealer (stealership) and hope to save about $4K on a xl over a xlt

Jerry

What options? 32k +,- seems really high for an XL.

Missed the XLT. Still, great deals going on, and with production stopped on the 08's get while you can.

I just picked up an 08 S-Cab Lariat 2wd with the White Sand paint (color of the "limited"), Chrome package, power sliding rear window, captain chairs, sirius satellite, 5" chrome steps, bed liner, reverse sensors...sticker price was $35k+ after A-Plan and bonus cash I paid $28k. I wanted to hold off for the 2009, but the price was right now.

Smile

Monday night I looked at a 08 XL 4x4 regular cab and bought it. sticker was $26.7K, employee pricing + $3K for customer cash/ford credit cash (had to fight for a while to get the $3K) Got $7500 for my 2001 xlt w/sport package reg cab with 68,200 miles. Taxable amount was $13610 plus about $975 tax, title plate transfer. So about $14585 out of pocket. It's plain but new!

My 2001 was geting rusty from the winter salt, but the paint was still good. Last year a brake line rusted through, a aluminum line on the power steering rusted through, my mechanic said the gas tank would rust through soon along with the drive shaft.

I looked at two xlt reg cab londbed but they would of cost about $7000 more.
So I took the stripper! There's about 60 miles on my new truck! Happy so far! Runs good, drives smooth.

purchased my 2008 F150 supercab XLT Texas Edition for 18,400. I thought I got a hell of a deal considering the sticker was 30,300 and the invoice was 27k
