What price to move fast?

K, so I want to sell my truck, but wondering what I should list it at to move it fast. Already got another truck, and want to free up the driveway.
Quick list of stuff: 2004 F150 FX4. 5.4L Supercab, flareside. Black w/ black leather interior. 58k miles. Power windows, doors, seat, rear sliding window. towing package, etc.... Truck looks and runs great. Only bad thing is a couple scratches over wheel well.

I know the used truck market is down, but was just wondering what you guys think I should list it at.

You would have to give it away to make it move fast. It's going to take time and work to sell it.

Private party book is 15 grand minus what it would cost to fix any damage. I doubt you will get anywhere close to that.

Since I just spent the last month or two looking at 150s to buy, my guess based on what I have seen in my area is about 11.5 to 12.5 tops. I would suggest you fire up cars.com and search for similar vehicles in your area, subtract about $1000 and you should be ok. But you wont get anything close to KBB. Right now people that are buying at auctions are getting them 2-3k under wholesale and still having a hard time moving them on the used lots.

KBB is closer to reality right now than Edmunds, and I got that 15 grand number from KBB. KBB tradein value is 11k, but I doubt any dealer would give you more than 8k for it. Price it the way you see fit, but I think the most you can get for it is around 12k and that's going to take some effort.

The market is swimming in off-lease 2006's (with a full year of warranty left)with 20,000 miles that are only bringing $16k at auction and $18k or less at retail. You have 2 years and 38,000 miles on top of that and no warranty. Maybe $13k or so to somebody with a firm upper limit on cash but frankly the 2006's at $18k are a much better deal to the used buyer.

The price for used F-150's are falling faster than gas prices are rising.
When i was looking at Rangers for my son, they had a used 2006 F-150 SC XLT with 23K on the clock on the lot, the salesman told me he would sell it to me for 13K and that was before negotiating.

Even my V-6's book value is dropping like a rock. It's worth less than 5 grand now.

I tried trading my truck in a week ago just for kicks since gas is getting higher, even with all my mods listed in my sig they would only give $19,000 on trade in. 6 months prior it was valued at 26500 on KBB
The dealer told me they haven't sold a truck in about a month yet they can't keep the Focus in stock because of fuel prices, besides that they already had enough used trucks on the lot to go around.

That should let you now its gonna take a low price to move it quickly.

BTW mine is 2 years newer and has 28000 miles supercrew loaded.
