Do it!

That was my first though when I got my new truck. I want to reverse the badges like you are doing. PTM the chrome part and chrome the F150 and so forth. So I say go for it.

 

just placed my order, i got the ford oval overlay for the tailgate too

 

well here they are im not too happy with how they came out, the paint didnt stick well enough to pull the stickers off and not the paint so im gonna repaint them and get chrome stickers, so i didnt bother clearing them so thats why they look a little flat

well man,at least you kow what it will look like.i didnt understand why you were doing it that way in the first place.thats why i was saying get the chrome inlays.the way i did it was so easy.to get them you have to specifically ask for chrome it doesnt have chrome in the drop list.it does go well with your truck.
