People seem to like the CarQuest Blue pads. I am currently having this debate myself...

All of my customers that have purchased the Centric posi quiets have absolutely loved them. They are a low dust pad made for heavy SUV's and trucks and are great for towing as well. I highly recommend them.

Are you going to do rotors too or just have your turned?

I have almost 60,000 miles on my Wagner ThermoQuiets. In about 40,000 more miles, I'll get another set.

Thats the rotors, what about the pads? Also, the OEM rotors are pretty thin to start with, once turned, they have more of a tendancy to warp.

I've been running Akebono (or something like that) ceramics on my truck. No dust and good overall performance.

Just another option

i have the ebc extreme 4x4 pads(i think thats what they were called.) There suppose to work good on trucks with bigger tires and reduce break dust. so far im not in awe over them. they get the job done but still leave a little dust.

I would REALLY recommend going with the stoptech stage 2 upgrade with the slotted rotors and centric pads. This is what I am running on my truck and I really like them. I tow a 16 foot trailer with a buggy on it with my ranger and no trailer brakes and all braking feels constant and controlled.

Feel free to shoot me an email or PM and we can work out a deal

I have the EBC Green Stuff pads. Very little dust. I can go weeks without washing my wheels and even though it is barely noticeable. They also stop extremely well.

How quiet are all of these pads you guys are reccomending? My brakes now squeal horribly. So I think it's time for me to get some new ones also.

I just turned 20,000miles, & just had the brakes checked at my last tire rotaion just a week ago. Stock brake pads were just worn about 1/4! I wash the truck at least every week so the dust really is not an issue with me+I think that the stock pads are smooth & stop well! At replacement time I'm sticking with MotorCraft Pads!..............

Well for an everyday day driver yes, the motorcraft are good breaks. When you put a 8k boat behind you without trailer brakes these things get weak quick. And w the bigger tires and wheels these things just dont do the job. When i hit the brakes i expect the truck to start slowing down, and thats not the case.
