Should I?

I really want a '97-'03 F150 again... Well, it's gotta be a Scab and a 5 speed with either the v6 or v8... preferably the v8... 4x4 optional.

However, I could just easily spend the money in various ways:

1. Buy that above.
2. Pay off my current F150.
3. Mod up the Dakota OR F150.

I'm torn... I really want one though... :o

I know having a nice vehicle collection is great, but your young and picking up a third vehicle is alot to keep up with. More cash out for registration, insurance, maintenence, gas and not to mention the room to park it and time to clean it. Pay off your current 150, also in times when the economy sucks its best to have a little savings just incase

I'm with ya Manual, I had a 97 150 and it was the best vehicle I have ever owned. Wish I had never sold it.

It's not that I don't like my '07. I love it... but I really want a family-type pickup... but it's gotta be a 1/2 ton and stick shift. Then again, I also want an older F250 with the same options.

I just can't see shelling out $32k on a new F250 XL Scab, 6 speed manual, 4x4, PS diesel, with barely any options. A truck like that is worth like $25k in my books... especially a work truck...

I just don't know what to do... but then again, I was thinking of trading the Dak and the F150 for some ultra loaded F250... but I really like having multiple rides.

I'm in no rush... but time is ticking, and I want to make a decision within the next few months... I think I asked a couple months ago the same question, but I'm still bewildered.

I was serious. there are S/C kits for the v-6 motors. he can also upgrade the interior (XLT/Lariat options). it may be a V-6 XL, but that doesn't mean it's the end of the world

Ehh... I'd like to on my '07... but... I can't see doing it merely because it's my work truck... and it needs to be really reliable in a sense.

But contrary, I was going to mod my '99 to probably Built54's 1% stock status.

Gosh I wish I kept that '99... it was perfect...

Modding the F150 is really my last resort to spend the money... but I think it's rather foolish. When I really need a truck with a back seat.

In regard, it's really going to be for my Dad... but on hindsight, it's probably going to sit in the garage as with the Dak... unless I give my Dad my '07 or the Dak... he doesn't like the Dak... but he's *somewhat* ok with the '07. But he'd really love a OBS F150 with those specs.

He's not a fan of the new F150s at all. In fact, he was eyeing a '96 F150 Scab the other day in a parking lot. Granted it was in superb condition... but he really wants the '97-'03 years truck.

I know selling the '07 for a used SD with a Scab is really not something I'd like to concur on doing... but I also don't want to become Mr. Livery Service again.

Sell all of your possessions. You know, walk the earth, meet people... get into adventures. Like Caine from "Kung Fu."

The 03 F150's have ****ty crash test ratings and everything else. Set a goal to save X amount of dollars and sell all of your **** that you don't need within X amount of time. Then buy the proper truck with a back seat, V8, 4x4, etc. If you don't set goals it will just be another dream and few more months will pass without doing anything to work toward your goal of getting a different truck.
