Not true. I used my 79 2WD F150 to pull a 4x4 Dodge Ram out of a mud pit once, I was on firm ground. I also used it to pull several tree stumps. Don't rule them out because only two wheels turn. Now, in the mud, its helpless, I will give you that much.

Oh I know. No offense taken. I got the same 2WD stuck plenty of times and had to be pulled out by a 4x4.
