Ran against a new Duramax last night.
Brand new 2500, from what I could see he just had an exhaust. He kept inching up at the light, so did I, and then he jumped/timed the light, needless to say, by the end of 1st he was at my back tire, middle of 2nd he was half a truck back and then he let off.

Well after getting a thumbs up from the guy at the next light, pretty sure I legitimately pulled on him, it might've been a different story if we were already moving.

I might add I had a long night last night, ended up driving my dad's 2002 Suburban, with a 5.3, and raced a 02'ish "BOSS 5.4" yellow F150, I got smoked, haha.

x2.
A buddy of mine has an 08 Duramax 6.6 and he put an AFE intake, straight pipe exhaust, and Edge level 7 on it and my god it goes 0-60 VERY fast. over 500 hp/700 trq to the ground, it would smoke a lot of sports cars. He can spin them in 2nd and 3rd all day long, on mud terrain 33s!!.

it gets even better if you run a propane injection setup. I want a diesel so bad, but I can't afford the $50k+ to get the one I want

From a dig the 2500 should toast you, from a roll you stand a chance.
I have an '06 F-150 supercrew with 4.10 gears, AF1 3.5", 2.5" catback, and Troyer tuned Xcal 3 perf tune with the oem 20's. I went to the strip and ran a 16.0 @ 86.
I then jumped in my buddies '07 2500 4-door with a Edge Evolution set on level 3. He's also riding on 33's on the stock rims. I drove the truck at the strip and ran a 14.8 @ 90. So it definitely smoked my truck at the track.
However, on the way home from the strip we did several highway runs. 15-85. 25-85. & 45-85. Everytime his truck would just creep away ever so slowly. I thought this was weird considering how bad he smoked me from a dig but I think it's just because my F-150 has NOTHING off the line until it hits 2,500 rpm's or so.

A stock late '06 DMAX 4x4 supercab will run ~8.3-8.6 seconds standing 0-60. I've driven them a lot and timed one several times. I don't know why so many think just b/c it's diesel it automatically smokes everything. Yes if it's tuned properly it will smoke a 5.4. Of course they do this at +1,500 lbs and make it seem effortless plus better mpg.
