Boondock Complete *pics*
ya i but i gotta wait for the lift i got the money cos i got 24K in scholarship and my dad paid me half in cash that was the deal. and so im jus saving it now until i get outta dang dorms with communtiy bath i think ima shoot myself. does hella make black headlights are those better than OEM?
Here is what I also think:
*keep the bumpers
*do the painted lariat flares as already planned
*go back to the original ford blue emblems
*remove that tiny emblem underneath the large F-150 emblem on the tailgate
*remove the lettering on the rear window unless you are using that to advertise a business of yours
*keep the lights
*keep the top portion of the side mirrors painted red, the bottom and the side arm painted black
*do a lift
if you got in a wreck and needed new bumpers, why not upgrade right?? The lift will come soon enough!! I definately agree with getting some black accents in there to break up the sea of red, trust me I know about a sea of red!

I don't hate the bumpers, but I too don't think they go with the "theme" of your rig. I would lose the roll bar, all chrome, whatever is sticking out on top of your grille, and consider some black wheels and a lift.
Did those bumpers lower the truck over all?? it looks really low to the ground.

Ok dude... here's some more stuff I thought about.
I like that you're going for the monochrome look, but honestly, I think it's just the mirrors throwing it off. That was the one thing I chose NOT to paint all red on my monochrome Ranger Edge, and also on my F150 and I think it helped to keep them from being overbearing.
See below:

My suggestions:
1.) Since you painted the mirrors already, either switch back to new stock ones OR get them painted black to blend in with the window tint.
2.) Have some Line-X added to the top 2 sections of the rear bumpers to break up the red, and add the function of a rear "step pad." Also, I would have the front upper push bar Line-Xd at the same time so it blends into the grill instead of blocking it.
Aside from that, ditching the chrome tail light covers and the EXTRA emblem on the tailgate will help.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the added red accents on the Ford emblems and F150 emblems, but maybe switch to "Ford" instead of what I am assuming is your name. That will look less "kid like" IMO, at least.
And, like I mentioned before add some Lariat style fender flares. Oh, and like others suggested "less is more," ditch extra stickers.

I do like those bumpers, but I think your truck needs a lift for them to really fit into the big picture. That should make them look like they belong more. I agree with some of the other posts that you do have alot of red, but each to their own. If reds your color thats cool.
It would really suck to have a crash with you and those bumpers haha.
That bumper might even teach a brave deer a lesson if you ever hit one.
I think you should go pound some sand. If you knew anything you'd know his truck is used for chasing storms. It's function over beauty for him.
Why are you still on this site? You don't even have a F-150 anymore. Why don't you go hang out with the Mustang dorks you geek.
I've been a member since 2001. I don't have all day to sit on here and post a bunch to get my post count up so I can be "cool" like you and thumper. I have pictures. You click on the camera. Geez, for having 536 posts you should know that.
just .02 paint the rollbar black, black mirrors, emblems all chrome to black poss. even your three way hitch just throw some black on it I personally dont like red but red with black is a very nice combo
btw love the BD bumpers if i had $2500 to throw out on bumpers ide do it in a sec

That being said those bumpers are rediculously gawdy. Especialy on a 2wd truck. Way too much red going on as well. And you say you have plans for a winch...what brand and model? Throwing a cheapo winch in that bumper will really just top this whole thing off as being rediculous.
I have yet to see a bumper from BD that looked good either on the pallet or installed. LakeMaryKid's expirience with them left alot to be desired. Not to mention thier products never seem to fit the vehicle they were made for. They may be great guys over there at BD, but you couldnt pay me to run one of thier bumpers on either of my trucks.

It's about "community" here, not what we all drive.
