Wow! Those OE flares are wider than I thought. I didn't think they had THAT much coverage.

Thanks! Well, if I stay around here very long I have no doubt I will have other plans. But, yeah...I would like to tint the two side windows to match the rear, re-gear if I can find someone I trust (or do it myself after some practice and Randy's excellent book...awesome book BTW. I figure I can do a better job than most guys who say they can do it and not cost me a dime), H.D. grill, take out the Ford B.L. and have Line-X color matched and MAYBE (I can't decide) color matched or LT door handles. That's about it. I like them fairly stock. Maybe some day a 4"-6" lift and 35's or so, but way down the road. Maybe by then Rize will have a smaller lift.

Yeah, they would look good painted too. What back-spacing do you have? It looks like you would still have some sticking out beyond the flare to me.

They are 4.5 in backspacing...

So if I wanted to upgrade to the EGRs from the OEM flares soley for the purpose of keeping crap and rocks off the side of my truck, is it even worth it? Is there enough difference between the two that it would even make a difference.

I just took mine to a really good body shop in my area. The guy said he'd shoot them for $25 each! I can't wait to get mine on!!

I have 4.5" BS too and based on that and how much I know the EGR flares cover, I would say they are definitely worth it.

i think i may go with these flares- thanks for the pics. I am not a fan of the way the bushwackers look on these trucks. These EGR flares look very close to stock and add a little extra coverage. I just put 35s on my truck this past weekend with a 5" backspace wheel and they stick out about 2"s.
