i heard back from the dealer.... the clutches on 3rd and
4th are worn. i get new clutches on those and new bearings. i asked the tech about possible causes.......... the edge chip too much pressure going through the tranny... and they wouldn't bs me either as my friend owns the place.

 

hmm... anyone know if the Gryphon would be doing the same/similiar things ???

 

They all do the same thing... some just worse than others.

 

Reminds me of my Escape... but I blew 4 trannies by 65k.

I kinda miss getting rentals every year... like this year, I wanted to test drive a E350 cargo van...

Lets see... the vehicles I got during my tranny replacements:

1st: Ford Taurus
2nd: Ford Windstar
3rd: Ford Crown Vic
4th: Ford F150 (Got my attention drawn, and immediatly bought one)

That Escape was stupid anyways.

My current F150 gets way better gas mileage and whipping performance than that thing ever was capable of.

 

hahaha i am driving a nissan titan right now.. i love it lots of power and a 5 speed auto. way better then my ford!!
