Does this really save on gas mileage? Whenever I have OD off it feels like i would be using more gas.

The Mazda 5 speed they use on the V6 is not strong enough to last behind a current V8 and I don't think the ZF is easy to fit in the F-150 chassis/body. Both the V6 and the manuals are gone for 09, the 4.6 2V and 4 speed auto are standard in the base truck.
