Looking for more low end/midrange power

I've got a 4.6 (yeah, I know) with cold air, different catback system, 3.55 gears and top end is fine, but the low end grunt is sad. I'd like to keep the gears for some fuel economy so that's not an option. Other than a programmer, is there any other route I can go? Any luck with underdrive pullies, etc?

I have a Custom xcal3 tune, S&B intake and Magnaflow exhaust with my 5.4 plus 3.73s and my mid range is horrible. Is and was my biggest complant about my F150.

A programmer is your quickest, cheapest, most for your buck mod you can do.

Gears !! I'm still grinning from the 4.56 gear swap during a 0-80 mph launch

Unfortunatley, I don't think there is any miracle cure for the mid-range. I have the 5.4 with custom tuned Xcal3, AF1 3.5", 2.5" exhaust, and 4.10 gears and off the line my truck still sucks until it hits 2,500 rpms then it comes alive.

Custom tuning. My truck has plenty of low end grunt.
