I thought about doing the swap on mine but I would lose the driver's side self-dimming feature that my stock (deluxe mirror package) mirrors have. I have really grown to like that little feature, so no towing mirrors for me until they add that self-dimming option to the driver's side mirror.

The puddle lamps are nice though as my wife's Mercury Mountaineer has them.

They Look well nice

Mine will be here very soon ( I hope)

Wonder if the 2008 Trucks come with the Puddle light pre-wired into the mirror harness? True Plug and Play?

Yes, you should have the puddle lamp wire in place from what I hear, also it is true plug N play

as long as you have heated mirrors now or back window you will be good to go.

The "demist" button?

Damnit. Now I have something else to envy... anybody who doesn't call it a defrost button.

Diddo, it took me 30 seconds of staring at that word like a window licker to figure out how jealous I was...

FX4... Harley 9006 did a write up on taking off the front door panels and it helped me, so I added some pictures.... find it at:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/in...2004-f150.html

Once you get the door panels off, there's just three nuts that hold the old mirror on.

my 05 had 4 bolts that held the mirrors on. Through me for a loop after reading these install how-to's.
