Upper door panel removal

I'm thinking of tinting my windows, therefore I need the upper door panel to pop out a bit. I did this on my Crown Vic easily just by grabbing it and pulling out a bit but I don't want to try it on my truck unless it's confirmed that it can be done. So the short question is, can you just pull the top of the door panel out a bit (on all four doors since it's a Screw) to access more of the window?/

No you can't. It overhangs teh channel slightly. The door panels are easy to remove though.

try search

or

in short- you need a set of metrics. Pop the little cover plate off behind the handle. Pop off the arm rest switch panel and disconnect wires. Remove all the bolts and screws. Once it's loose lift straight up on the panel then pull out. There are L shaped catches that hold the panel on the door. The feed the door handle through the panel and your set.

course the guy that did my windows didn't need to remove the panels at all.
