Well all I know is that the F150 can be held up by its tow hooks as well as stop a landing C-130.

I truly can't say which I like best. I'd be happy with a Ford or Chevy. I'd give Ford the thumps up in the looks department though.

I went with Ford basically because I thought the '06 Fords looked better than the '06 Chevys. That and I've dealt with this paticular dealership before and they don't BS you alot and Ford F150's happened to have a better rebate at the time.

This is the 2nd Ford I have owned. The last on was a 1979 F150. I hated that truck because it was slow but it was also dependable. I owned a 96 and a 98 Chevy Silverado as well, the 96 was fast, the 98 was slow. Now I have an 08 F150. Which is best? Do you really want to know? Honestly? It's doesn't matter. Hell, I'm making payments for 6 years so for the next 6 years Fords rock! Until April 8th, Volkswagen rocked! Who cares which is better? Don't these people have something better to argue about? You really should throw your support to what you own though. Next time they get to arguing, ask them to prove it. If they offer to take to the streets tell them, no put it in writing and prove it. Show me! One truck vs another on the street does not prove which company is better.

It’s a matter of preference. All car makers have their issues. As far as your discussion with your friends or whatever, tell them to take on a Tundra, that should shut em up. It's not about which is best, it's about who has the biggest cahoneys and the biggest mouth. It’s a stupid age old "less filling" vs. "tastes great" battle and it will never be solved.

I chose my F150 for the same reason. Price and the Chevy's were just ugly. Why pay 36K for an ugly truck? I got mine fo 14K brand new and it look good!

Although I was being sarcastic, yes I do watch too many commercials. The whole stoping a plane thing was kinda cheasy coz Im sure most full size trucks can do that. But held up by its tow hooks is pretty impressive. Heck, until 2007 the Chevys were just plane ugly. They new ones look pretty darn good, minus the freakin ugly fender flairs.

 

I tell you what is FUGLY is that Avalanche. I mean, wtf where they thinking? That thing is beat up from the feet up!
