foglights have moisture in them...is it okay to take them off the truck for a few...
its supposed to rain like crazy the next 4 days and i noticed one of my foglight bulbs exploded in the housing...i took them off and i can't get all the pieces out im going to have to heat it up and pull it apart i guess...but im wondering if its okay to leave the bulb harnesses electrical taped for a few days until i get the housing back together? the one with the broken bulb i left the bulb in it and then taped it...the other i took the bulb out (since its good) and just taped the harness....just wont to make sure moisture isn't going to ruin the harnesses since i will be driving my truck....thanks
dude its amazing...one light had a ton of sealant on it and the other (the one which had the bulb blow) had virtually nothing...popped right off...im going to re seal good before i put it back together...thanks for the response

thanks for all the replies...i ended up heating portions with a lighter (very carefully so as not to damage the lights) and using a dremel after that...got about 80% out so im happy with that...i got all the heavy stuff out....i was thinking about painting them black but how badly do you think that will affect the light output of the new hids i just ordered?
Man yesterday my drivers side hella headlight was all fogged up. I took it out and it had like 3 cups of water inside it. Talk about a bad seal! They have little drain type plugs on the back so most of the water just poured right now. Then I set the wifes hair dryer on low blowing into the blinker light hole. About and hour later it was all dried out. Got me how it got in there. I'm going to contact Hella about it and hopefully they will replace it. Until then I'll load it down with some RTV sealant.
