just bought 6000k hids for my fogs....

bought them from hid4u...9005 is what everyone was using i hope...can't wait till they get here...still have to order the heads but can't decide between bixenon or single....also im going to paint my headlights will it be okay to use xenons with that or do they get too hot?? thanks also anybody have any probs with the fogs (rectangle) burning out from heat or anything? thanks

why put HIDs in your fog lamps?

because its extra bright then and who wants hid headlights and non hid fogs...i like everything to match...

I would go with the bi xenon. That way when someone flashes you with your low beams on you can show them what the high beams are like.

not trying to steal your thread but ....i just installed 85k hyperwhites, h13 , h10 for the fogs. they have a bright white with a hint of blue. i also installed a 39 led amber in color for the blonker and they look awesome. ill post pics soon.

85k? also bixenon or no? i think i will go with the bixenon...good point...how much do you think painting my headlights and foglights black will affect light output?

i think you mean 8500. 85k wouldnt be visable to the human eye.


k1ngoftheranch: i would go bi xenon so you atleast have the option to have brights. i rarely use mine but its nice to have the option.

when i switched from stock headlights to my harley head i might have lost a little light output but nothing i really noticed after a few days. theres not as much chrome to reflect off of. it shouldnt stop you from painting them tho. your truck will look badass with black headlights
