What cheap DIY performance mods can I do to my 4.6?

Anybody actually try doing this with an F150 4.6? Did it make a difference other than screwing up the factory intake assembly?

I did it on my 2003. It opens it up a lot. The filter cover restricts so much and the silencer cuts about half the airflow out. Do it, it sounds better too.

Ok, Hitched! I will give it a try. If I screw it up, I may have to get in touch with Budha for that airaid kit.

efans can be done cheaply, but make nice brakets, i learned the hard way.....

i really do want it, but i ended up running to abilene this weekend (just got back actually) and i may need to watch my funds for a minute. I'll let you know tomorrow....any discounts for picking it up?
