I filled it up once. Haha..

It got 15mpg highway consistantly. That's about what I get with my decent 4.2L.

Dropped to 12 in the city, and 9 when my brother drove it ***** to the wall.

According to a Dodge sales guy when Mercedes got bought chrysler they redesigned the transmission and axle. He has only seen one new body style come in for a transmission repair. I hope with the lifetime powertrain warranty they fixed it.

I had a 97 and 01 Ram with 5.9s in them and they both got better MPG than my 04 F150 did.

The "lifetime" powertrain warranty is non-transferable, so it only applies to the orginal purchaser. I suspect that the average ne car buyer doesnt keep their truck much longer than 4 or 5 years anyway...so the lifetime warranty is just hype unfortunatly.

I knew there was some catch with their lifetime powertrain warranty, i just didnt know what. So basically it's just like a 5yr/100,000mile warranty unless of course you keep the truck. Although its still better then 3yr/36k mile warranty.

Also look at the fine print, there are lots of things that aren't covered. I have had several people tell me that they got told it wasn't covered by warranty.

or it will be like the Kia/Hyndai 10yr/100k warranty. if they fix anything under warranty, that item is no longer covered. so 1 time and your out.

I gotta get Troyer to tune my truck!!! I traded an 06 Dodge Quadcab - Hemi - 4x4 that I bought BN, for my 08 Screw FX4 - 5.4. Other than the Hemi, the Dodge was a pile of crap!! While I love the Ford, the Dodge-Hemi would SAAAAAMOKE my 5.4 in a race. Luckily, I didn't buy a truck to race it!

I agree, I bought my son a 2000 Durango 5.9 R/T. The engine blew at
96,000 mile. I replaced with a crate factory R/T Engine for 5 grand.
The POS gets 9 MPG in town, and 12 MPG on the Highway (down hill with a tail wind). I would never buy another Chrysler Product ever again!

has anyone drove the new PowerWagon? my dads got one and im drivin it for the week its got the 5.7 and 4.56 gears thats stock my dad put 36" Iroks on it looks nice and sounds amazing! i want one but can afford the gas for it! everyone should take a look, imo the interior in that thing looks great! and i love the hidden winch.

My only problem with the truck is that for the "offroad truck" its too long with the quad cab. a single cab short bed would be great configuration but they only offer the single cab long bed and that looks wierd!

We had an 02 Durango R/T 5.9 also. It was my wifes truck. I got the same mileage you posted and this was being babied! We had several issues with brakes locking up, and at 32,000 the trans went south. It wouldn't shift out of 1st under a load. It would go all the way to the rev limiter and studder at the top. The dealer didn't know what was wrong with it. If you took off really easy it would shift fine. We traded it in on a Kia Sorento and haven't looked back since. Oh and about the warranty on the Kia's.... once they touch anything on the vehicle for warranty, it is NOT covered any longer. This is unless you know the dealer and they fix it anyway.

Yea those are very nice lookin trucks. Of course i thought it was a little silly not to put a cummins in it since it is a 2500

yeah in all honesty i believe it was a marketing thing... people see HEMI and go mmmmmm. but with it being a 2500 with alittle extra wieght than a stock 2500 a cummins would have been a nice option!

I know what you mean. I bought an 05 Durango Limited "Hemi" this morning. That thing makes my F-150 seem like a dog. But from driving it around, the trip computer is saying I'm getting 14.8 mpg in the city (stop/go traffic). We'll see once I do the 2nd and 3rd fillup though. Sucks it's AWD, otherwise I'd be smoking a set of tires off
