Just one mans opinion though...

Many times Ford offers better discounts on the 4.6, so the savings can be pretty significant. When a Tuner and CAI will put you around factory 5.4 numbers and the 4.6 doesnt have any plug issues it makes alot of sense. Sure the 5.4 is a nice motor, but the 4.6 really tow's surprisingly well

No, not yet. My lap times suck, I'm still a novice. At least one of the faster novices though.

Believe it or not, it was actually rated to tow that much weight. The motor handled it well, the brakes (weakest of that line of car was that year) were the problem. So I got the Ranger and now have the F150. I have no doubts now about my truck being able to haul my toys.

Damn I forgot how cool the first Mr2's were

Hah! I'll be at Road Atlanta in Sept then Barber in Nov. Will be at Roebling Road (Savannah track) in Dec. I'm doing it on 4 wheels though

Man, I LOVED that car. I'd like to get one again. That's the 85 with the suspension goodies, but lacking in brakes and motor dept. With a 3SGTE spooned in there and upgraded brakes it'd have been a total hoot. I've gotta get another one.
