i was wonder if the f150s have rancho struts up front, or if the only rancho on the fx4 are the shocks. i was lookin at the at some shock on some site and they sell a front shock for the 04 but the front uses a strut right? oh are the springs rancho too or just the shocks

 

The F150 FX4 does not have Rancho shocks or springs. Some of the older body style F150s may have, but the 2004+ new body style F150s do not. The F250 FX4 has them. On my F250, the front and rear shocks are red and white and say Rancho from the factory.

 

I understand from my dealer that ford never REALLY had Rancho shocks at all.

The older F150's and current F250 with the FX4 package had/have shocks that are built by Rancho, but to Fords specs. Not true Rancho spec'd shocks.

 

remember, 2004 had 2 different F-150's

ok, i was under the impression that if it was an fx4 it had rancho stuff, but mine only has factory plane black shocks and struts, so i looked on line saw where they sale front and rear shock but i have struts so it confused, plus the rancho struts cost a pretty penny & i just did see ford putting that on.
