Need help finding part number? (pics included)

I was out at the farm shooting shotguns yesterday and when I was driving around I ran over a stick. The stick flew up and sliced through my heat shield, which got caught in a dust boot which is now shredded. Does anyone know the OE name of this part or a part number? It's the boot that connects to the front driveshaft. Pics below. Thanks.

You should be able to fine a number on the driveshaft, if not I bet your local Four wheel drive shop as one.

Look for someone who balances driveshafts for a cheap replacement.

So is this boot something I can just replace from Ford, or is it apart of the whole assembly you have to buy?

Does anyone have any tips or instructions how to pull the front driveshaft to replace the boot. I have never done anything like this before. Thanks.

You would be best off buying a reman driveshaft. That way it will also have new joints. The boot by itself is not that easy to install, I believe the joint has to be separated to get it on.

As long as that boot is on the front driveshaft, not the rear, the part # is F85Z-4421-AA, and the price is $14.22
The shield is either a 5A273 or a 5G221, I can't quite tell from the picture. From there I'd need the engine size and wheelbase to determine the exact #.
Hope this helps some.....

Can you give me some detail on this process. I ask the dealership what they would charge and they want an 1:30 minutes labor. That's roughly $120.00. Also I orignally ordered two new clips, but I said no when they wanted $30.00 for a pair.
