F150 is GONE!

Hi there its been a while since I last posted. I have been really busy with work and family life now, but I have stoped in from time to time to see what all is new The time has come to get rid of the 06 f150. Nope Im not another cry baby about gas prices and nor am I going green. I decided that its just too hard to get a 5000 pound plus truck to go as fast and I wanted too. Sooo I went to ford picked up 08 gt mustang.
Sidenote. To anyone wanting to trade off a newer f150 especially if you owe anything on it GOOD LUCK because I went to every stealer ship in my state and I like to never got as much as I owed on my truck. Every place I went to said $16000 and I owed $21000. I did break even but they just took off there sticker price. I know the game. My truck had 14000 miles, xlt loaded 4 door perfect condition not a scatch bleminsh anywere chrome 5inch factory ford running boards, bed cover, bed mat from ford, towing package. I could keep going on but the point it this is 4wheel drive country, they use to give cars away and now you cant hardly give a pickup away. Gas prices?

I got the new 'Stang as well, but kept the truck!

Now I've got my two "babies" that I'll keep for the rest of my life!

Nice pad.

Do some remodeling and loose those posts in the garage(LVL / steel beam). Those bite.

Yeah, I know!

I actually got Belle detailed up and out for a little photo shoot a couple of weeks back, but have yet to go through the shots and decide which ones I want to put in my gallery. Unfortunately, life as the father of a two-year-old leaves very little time to indulge in things that dad wants to do. I've had the 'Stang for a little over two months now and I haven't even cracked 200 miles on it yet!

Damn -- now I want meatloaf and corn! I'm stuck in a hotel room in Ephrata, PA, tonight -- maybe there's a good local diner around here that can whip up a batch!

Unfortunately, the posts were the lesser of two evils......

If I had gone with a beam, it would have dropped down into the garage so far that it would have interfered with the cabinets I wanted to mount over my workbench. If I tried to flush-mount it with the plane of the ceiling, it would have stuck through the roof deck on the backside of the garage.

Believe me -- my dream garage will have no posts of any kind.......

Well with the news I got yesterday on my brakes I may soon trade my truck in for a Mustang GT if I can afford the Insurance on it, or go with a backup plan and get a Fusion with the AWD. A heavy truck, agressive driving, and living in the hilly terain of middle TN eats the brakes up fast on these trucks.

The insurance on my '08 GT is only $50.00 more every six months than the identical coverage on my '05 F-150.....

isn't that wierd? My 06 costs me $300/6 months...the 03 GT costs me $350/6 months...and they have the exact same coverage

btw, my truck is worth about $25k out here...Hawaii has such a big truck market, that these things sell for outrageous prices. My truck could sell for $29-32k right now at a stealership...and it's a 06 with 20,000 miles...I doubt its coming with me when I go back to the mainland U.S.

also, you had a 06? and your title says 05?

I am not with State Farm. I have my house and three vehicles insured through Tenessee Farm Bureau, but they will not insure the bike. I go through Progressive for the bike, and since I totalled an 06 CBR1000 already (this is my second one) they wanted $3000 a year with a $1000 deductible. Needless to say, I have liability only at $190 a year. If I crash it, I'll fix it with the $3,000 per year that I saved by not having full coverage. I have had this one for a year and a half, so that's $4,500 already not spent.
