Another headlight painting thread

So I've been reading alot of the old threads on painting you headlights, I've got the gloss blak krylon fusion and sandpaper ready but I was wondering what everyone is doing with the orange reflector? are you going over it with something or just leaving it as is? I like the idea of a clear reflector or something to go with the black headlight.
thanks.

Yeah I hear what your saying but I thought I'd give it a try before spending the money on some Hella ones. I'd go ebay but I've learned from buying headlights/corner lights for my old truck that you get what you pay for.

I used flat black krylon for mine and I just did a very light spray on the reflector and I love the way it looks. you can kinda see it in this pic....

I went with the Gloss and LOVE IT! Check out my gallery I have pics of this process. I kept the orange, but I've heard people putting one light coat on it to hide the orange except when there parking lights are on the light shines thru. I masked the side of the the orange small light to match the headlight and I really liked how it turned out. Check pics below...

Put them in the oven for 240 degrees and 10 mins.... check out this link, there are 12 pages on how to do. My instructions are on page 10.https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...grill+vertical

My writeup on what a pain in the butt the process was is here.

I used a glossy paint IIRC and I left the markers orange. No need to mask them as they pop right off though. I just popped them off, painted the reflector part, then popped them right back on.
