AC Problem

I did a search and couldn't find any relevance or answers. My AC flickers on and off. If it's off the lights will go on and off. If the power is on it will blow off and on. How do fix this problem? What really sucks is that I was talking to friends on how great Ford trucks are.

You might be having a problem with the wiring.

You know the AC wouldn't go cold when the battery was bad and that's all the problem I've had with it during the 75k miles. How does the wiring effect it?

Check your connections at the fuses and relays for the AC clutch/system. Make sure you also a good connection where the 12v source connects into the compressor also.

I don't quite understand what your saying here. Is the problem confined to just the AC system or is it affecting other things as well? What lights are you talking about? Do you mean the LED that shows when the AC is on?

just the led lights flicker. Everything else is fine. then when it's on it'll turn off and then blow on again continuously until I just turn it off, like a strobe AC. I haven't done anything to the vehicle, just the regular oil changes and that's it.

Does it do this on just one blower setting or all of them? It sounds like it could be a bad blower resistor or even a bad blower switch.

all of them I guess. I don't really have a chance to switch it cause it will turn off immediately and then turn back off and then turn back on...

Took the truck in to the shop last week. I got a free rental which was cool. I spent a 100 bucks fixing the AC and windshield washer sprayer. The AC wire was loose on the back on the control panel. The washer resevoir filter and some assembly was all messed up, clogged, and broken and they put it back together. It just strange how the passenger side sprayer still worked. My driver's side mirror was also broken from being wreckless. The estimate was 300 to get it fixed. Found the whole assembly at the junkyard for 85 bucks and installed it myself. I had to buy standard socket set. When did tools get so damn expensive? It was like 30 pieces for 60-70 bucks. Then there's this one bolt in the door panel that wasn't inches. Not sure if it's metric too since I didn't bring my whole toolbox with me to fix it. Is that normal to find metric bolts on a truck that's mostly inches? My suspension is starting to squeak. I think my shocks are gone because the truck is riding kinda rough. I'd like to get the Bilsteins but I have a question about the fitment with 35s and removing my spacer. My tires still have some life in them at least 5k probably more like 8-10k. So if I get shocks now and alignment I'm sure I'll have to get the alignment again when I get new and bigger tires. I don't want to spend the extra time and money but I really want to improve my ride.
