BrushGuard PLUS tow hooks...possible?

I am about to get one of the brush guards that attach to where the OEM tow hooks are. I would like to have both brush guard AND tow hooks. Is this possible and if so how? Any pics would be great also...Thanks!

My brother in law has a Trail Boss that kept the tow hooks.

my manik guard also keeps the tow hooks. i think its hard to find one that removes them. its primarily the bullbars that require you to remove the tow hooks

My Go-Rhino BrushGuard had special adapters that installed under the tow-hooks so I was able to have both! Check out my Forum Pics!.....

I was going the cheap way out since I'm doing the brush guard for mostly looks (and some lights which would be functional). The one I'm looking at is the following on ebay. Not really a brand name and I've e-mailed the seller, but no response yet on if the tow hooks can stay with this brush guard.

most brushguards the towhooks stay, the towhooks come off the frame and mount under the bracket for the brushguard and back to the frame.

With a Manik/GSP brush guard you keep the towhooks, or you can add the towhooks if you don't have them.

Here is a very similar guard. I installed it a couple weeks ago. Very impressed given the price. Retains the tow hooks, two light mounts, removable light guards, really good waranty, and $215 shipped for black.

Didn't see any on ebay right now for an 04 f-150 but they make them so a quick call would probably get you one.

Love the look of this brush guard on your truck. I e-mailed this guy and hope he'll e-mail me back. It's cheaper than the one I was looking at. How is the quality of that guard? Installation? Also I'm an e-bay-a-holic so I would get the lights from ebay as well; any suggestions? Thanks for your help!!! Anyone else with this brush guard w/ opinions on it?

disclaimer:
This is the first brush guard I've ever installed or had on my personal vehicle. I have also only ran KC aux. lights on my personal vehicles.

The instalation instructions weren't great. hand drawn, vuage and confusing. But if I can figure them out.... lol

I think it's built very well. Good welds, nice powdercoating, and finshing. Lots of guards only mount to the frame at the hooks. This one mounts there and also has two support bars that mount between the valance and the grill which makes if very stable. I installed it in my carport by myself. Took me about 2 hours then took a while to tweak it straight. Nice big bolts but will need to be driven for a while then re-tightened. It's not perfect. It was a little difficult to get completely straight and wedging the frame brackets and tow hooks while threading bolts by yourself was a pain. I also wish the bolts were black but that's a common problem. I have seen a few that cover up the front plate (which will get you a ticket in TX in a big fat hurry). This one leaves it fully visible.

As far as lights I've been really happy with the KC daylighters that I bought. You might like the flood lights if you're beach fishing after dark and need to light your imediate area up. I looked over ebay hard and found a couple online stores that were cheaper and more trustworthy. These go a lot to personal tastes I believe. Lots of good lights out there but I just couldn't stand those lights with the pre-wired switches with wires that came outside the dash. So, I went with the KC's.

Anyway, I've rambled enough.

Jolly Green Giant,
Sounds like you have good reviews about the one you got. I don' tknow anyone with the one I was previously looking at, but I'll go off of your opinion and get the one through Hunter... Hopefully the install won't be too bad and now I know for sure that I can keep my tow hooks I should be in good shape. I haven't gotten an e-mail back yet from the guy, but found his number so will give him a call next week. As for the lights...how easy is taht to install? (May be a stupid question) But I want the light switch inside the cab....is that something I'm going to have to take to a mechanic to do (I'm not the most capable electrician). And to add one more favor to the list....do you have any more pics of the light mounts on top of your cab? Is it a full roof-rack, or just mounts on the front? I appreciate your help and if you're up for it you can come down to good ole' sunny FL and help me install it! I'll have pics up after I get it on....(be advised...I may be shooting you a couple e-mails for help if I run into some trouble installing)!!! Thanks again to all!
