Note, the plastic piece may be hard to get up, but you can just pull the rubber stripping up a little and pull the metal clips off once you get the whole piece off. Then put the metal clips and rubber stripping back in it's place and when you put the plastic back on it will snap right in place

Just pop it out, feed the coax through, then slice the grommet and put it back in. Then just run the coax down the left side next to the wire bundle and up the left side of the dash to where you want.
I don't have any pics but you'll find it easily

Now part two, how do you run the wire on the outside of your truck? Do you just let it hang down the back? Does it flap/knock in the wind? I have been trying to track down adhesive cable clips and not been successful. I found one company that makes them on the other side of the country and I have to buy minimum 200 clips, it seems that may be my only option.

those clips your thinking of can be found at walmart for around $5 in the automotive section
Same way I have mine run, wires hang down loose and run in the passenger side under the sill plate in the grommet in the back, no problems yet, and with tinted windows you can barely see the cables running down the back window

I run a Cobra 25 and a Cobra 29 Both have served me well for over 11 years now. Both have been turned up and oddly the smaller 25 puts out more power regarless of the antenna within' reason. 29 has the built in swr meter but the built in ones are rarely accurate.
I have run firesticks both single and co-phase and they worked quite well.
My Wilson antennas however both out perform. I run a wilson 1000 trucker with the 25 and a Wilson "lil' Will" with the 29.
Whatever you get take it to a good C.B. shop and get it peaked and tuned. If you don't want to do it yourself also have him/her use a good SWR meter to set the antenna. Note: the good c.b. shops rarely look reputable. ask around.

Jeeze I posted that stuff when I was up at Michigan State and it was snowing outside
