How do you mount bicycles to an f150?
What I use http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...tegory_ID=4413
Works great. Relatively cheap too. When not in use is hangs on the wall. If it is just me, the bike gets tossed in the back. As "T" said, it is a mountainbike it will get scratched and if yours isn't, let me borrow it.

easy to install, and no bed holes get drilled...plus the 2x6" helps to keep cargo in the back 1/4 of the bed instead of sliding everywhere

The bike-tites are about $25 at the bike shops.
I use two 2x6's stacked.

ToRn also works... or tornado.
Bungee cord bikes standing up to cargo hooks. One bike per side or even two bikes per side if you do two bikes per side use a towel between bikes to keep bikes from getting scratched. I wouldn't get a hitch hook up bike hauler unless you are taking a long trip and need truck bed for storage.
Since I neither like the hitch-mount bike carriers nor the universal "clips" and shower-curtain style "bars" I use the ratchet tie-downs. They're somewhat of a pain to setup/remove but sturdy and the bikes can stay saddle-side up.
First time poster, long time reader. This is what I use:

I have two of them. You don't have to remove the front tire either and they also lock so at least it will slow down a thief somewhat. This is by far, in my opinion, the easiest way to transport bikes in a pick-up bed. Here is where I bought them from:

you can buy the clips that mount to anything that you take the front wheel off and mount it to it.

Then just mount those on some scrap wood and make a little stand out of it.

YDM, I'd forgotten about those. I looked into one for my Ranger for the locking ability but tossed it out due to non locking tailgate. Never even thought about it again since getting the F150.
I used a Thule Bedrider rack for my old F150. For the Expedition, I use a hitch mounted bike rack.
Notice on the truck bed rack, I mounted the bar inside the bed where you would mount 2x4s. Sits better on the bed, holds tight, and easy to take off when not in use.
