As a side note, I'm going to get Mark VIII fan tomorrow. Figure it'd better than the single 16" one I have there now.

Anyone need two 16" fans?
Possibly, what brand are they? Are they the ebay fans?

Marc(purpony) posted on the mustang forum that he was happy with the product, this was nearly two years after the purchase. Two weeks after that, he posted on the same forum that it never worked correctly.

Regarding the customer service, I do try and help when a product is out of warranty, regardless of whether or not it's a customer caused problem, but I felt that he was both dishonest and underhanded in his approach to a solution, which left me with very little incentive to help him out.

If he disagrees with anything I've said here, I'd be more than happy to document it.

The plug connector on the compressor has two wires. On mine one was white/ligh grey and the other was black. My white/ light grey wire was the live one when the AC was on.
Unplug connector on the compressor and touch the signal wire to each of the wires with the AC in the on position. Which ever one turns on your fans is the one you want to connect to.
As for the ignition one i have not connected that one yet. Im going to look for a wire thats live with the ignition on close to the battery as thats where i mounted my DC controller.

What year is your truck?
I don't see that connector you tapped into for the ignition.

what year is your truck. i have heard they didnt put the electric fan clutch in untill 06 and i have an 07. here is a picture of the stock fan that came out and the clutch that was on it.

if your fan doesnt have this, that would explain why you cant find the wiring harness that i used. the harness is the one that powers the electric fan clutch

WOW!

Mine does not have that! Mine is the old style with the thermostaticllly controled clutch. Do you no any place i could tap into for ignition power? Close to the battery.
Was thinking about the headlights as we have day time running lights here and theres power on the lights all the time.

i havent really looked at the truck as far as wiring goes but i know on my mustang, the alternator has a green wire running to it that is a switched 12v source. but this is a 92 mustang so technology has probably changed just a little since then.

EDIT: just checked the truck. i can see 3 small wires attached to the alt. (not counting the large wire thats hooked to the battery. i would be willing to bet one of them is 12v switched. if not, the factory computer is right there next to the battery, you know one of them has to be a switched source (more then likely a few of them) so just start testing. if you can figure out which wire runs to the radio, ac fans in the cab, or any other electric devise you have that only runs when the truck is on, then find that wire under the hood. that would be my last resort tho.
