Now granted I'd like to have the marker signal, but I can only imagine the cost for them. Let alone the additional cost for the power telescoping/fold. I'm pleased with my purchase thus far.

Well, finally did the swap. Found a set of 2011 chrome/signal/heat/puddle tow mirrors off a platinum locally on CL for stupid cheap. Guy built his garage, then bought the truck.......couldn't fit said truck in garage with the tow mirrors. His loss is definitely my gain.

I have a late build 2004 Screw and once I got the door panels off I discovered that my wiring is a little different than what everybody suggested a 2004-5 has. My truck wiring didn't have a ground or any pin in the "9" slot, the only ground present was the in the "2" slot. So I stopped by the ford dealer and picked up the last of their supply of pins (they only had 3 of them). And just popped one in the "8" slot and jumped it to the "2"wire. I didnt' bother with the puddle light or heat yet, truck didn't come with the defrost option.

But the mirror controls and signal are working great and they look great. Love the mirrors so far and can't wait to put them to the test pulling the jeep this weekend for Jeep Jamboree. I just wanted to thank everybody whos done the swap before and posted up all the information to help get this swap done.

Hopefully the production version will have the puddle light.

I would give Tasca Ford a call 1-800-915-3141 and see what the current price is for the chrome capped trailer tow mirrors. I just looked at their web page and it is showing MSPR of $525.49 per side and a selling price of $404.62 per side. If thats the case, $240 each is a steal.

EDIT..... BUY THEM QUICK! I just went out and looked at my receipt from Tasca & it refreshed my memory on mine. I paid $400 for the set I bought from Tasca.(shipping included) I had sent in an order and they emailed me back to let me know that there was a part number change and price they were showing online at the time was incorrect and was MUCH higher. I put the order on hold to give it some thought. Not to long after that, they notified me that they had one mirror in stock with the old part number and that they had located the other mirror with the old number at another dealer. The parts guy said to send him $400 and they were mine. Done deal!!!

I have a 2012 Ford F-150 STX, the current mirror does not have puddle lamps, turn signal or heat just power. If i swap to the tow mirrors is there a way to get the turn signal to work? Im not worried about the puddle lamp or heat option.

You may be fortunate enough to have the signal wires already in the wiring in the door harness. If not, it is just a matter of running a wire to each mirror from your right & left front signal circuits.

Those chrome caps are pricey.

For my non-capped mirrors, I paid $242.55 for the pair new from Tasca. Not sure what the current price is though.

Looks like the all black power mirrors with no heat from Tasca are going for $154 each.

Mine have power, heat, puddle lamps, and turn signals. I guess I bought them at a good time. I double checked my invoice, they were $134.75 each, but I got a 10% discount. Even at full price they would have been a good deal.

Thanks all for the excellent info in this thread, to Josh at Tasca for answering my email questions promptly and shipping my tow mirrors out the next day, and to Bluejay for his video on '04-'08 door panel removal. You guys made this job easy.

Got the mirrors on and towed the camper for the first time with the '08 Lariat last weekend.

All mirror functions worked without any wiring or plug pin changes on my truck. The puddle lamps are pretty cool, too.

I think it depends on the trim level of your truck. My 07 FX4 had everything in the harness..just plug and play and everything worked.
