Truck at the dealer

Well I rolled over to 30K miles and brought it in for the maintenance. I did the fuel filter myself, have a K&N filter, just got new tires and an alignment, so that takes care of the major things. I'm getting an oil change and a transmission flush. They wanted me to get the injectors cleaned for $139, but that is being done under warranty for free.

Here's the warranty items that are being checked:
1. The no-start issue. As many have complained about, I've been having the same problem when I start my truck and it just dies, then won't start for a few minutes. They're checking the injectors and I made a stink about how I've been complaining about the problem for 25K miles and still nothing. The service advisor said there's a recall on the injectors and they would check them out.
2. I have an occasional clunk from the rear end. I don't think it's as bad as what some are complaining about and it only happens once in a great while, but it feels as though someone on a bicycle runs into the back of the truck sometimes when I come to a stop or when I accelerate from a slow speed.
3. The black metal trim piece on my front passenger door is rubbing on the rubber seal for the back door. I noticed the paint was coming off the other day while washing it. The service advisor said that it seems my door is out of alignment and they would fix it.

I feel pretty good this time about taking my truck in. This a new service I haven't dealt with before and it seems that shes on the ball. But in reality I'll probably hear the same "could not duplicate crap" again like always. If that's the case I'll bring that truck in every few hundred miles until they can duplicate something because I'm not getting stuck paying some huge repair bill for something breaks at 36,070 miles (Truck had 69 miles on it when I bought it) .

How'd you manage a free inj cleaning? Or was it due to your no-start problem?

Due to the no-start. They're going to take em apart and check them out. The service adivisor was like "The only other thing that you need is an injector cleaning for $139." I was like "I don't think so..." Then I started explaining my problem. I brought up the fact that I've been complaining about it for 25K miles, and the letter from Ford about the faulty injectors in the '05s and what not. She said there was a recall on the injectors and they would take care of it.
I wasn't aware of any recall on the injectors, but who am I to argue if they want to fix my problem?

Just be sure that they don't count that "free" cleaning as your warranty claim. I am sure you will not want to be charged later when the injector goes out.

Well I got it back last night and surprise! They could not duplicate my no-start problem. The sevice advisor did say, however, that if it happens again and I am able to, to drive it directly to the dealership and don't turn it off and they would hook it up immediately to the machines and see if it threw any codes. I woudn't have to wait or anything. So at least they are genuinely interested in helping me solve my problem. That's better than the cold shoulder I usually get.

And for the rear end, they lubed the slip yoke.

And for the out-of-alignment passenger door, they ordered the trim piece along with a new third brake light (I started to notice some condensation in there) and I will be getting a call when the parts are in to make an appointment with the body shop to align the door and replace the trim piece and brake light.

And they changed the oil and flushed the tranny.
This is the most satisfied I think I've ever been after leaving the dealership. It only took one trip too. Usually it's 2 or 3 before they get anything right. I'm still a little annoyed about the no-start issue, but they are willing to work with me, what more can I ask for? So I'm not 100% satisfied, but I am happy.
