grill opinions

I've been thinking about the new Carriage Works monster billet grill so I decided to see what it would look like. I have both a chrome and a blue PTM surround. I couldn't find a pic of the black version, so I darkened the chrome version. So with two surrounds and two grill colors, there are four options. Let me know what you think!

With your truck, go with the chrome!

Chrome. And get the bottom grill too.

The chrome surround is included with the grill, right?

If it were me, I would go with the chrome so that it will go with the bumper. Either way you go,they all will look good with your truck.

I too think chrome fits better with the rest of your truck.

I would go with the chrome, I find from far away the black just looks like the stock honey comb grille.

Another vote for chrome here too.

Though, that black, while it wouldn't in my opinion look right on your truck, does look damn nice!

i love the new monster billet, FINALLY they made one that kinda resembles my fx2 bars so i can order the lower bumper portion. Hoping to get the bumper grille and the bars on the fx2 painted satin/matte black also. Might even b able to black out every other bar on that monster billet one for the guys with the harley grilles to have a matching lower now. For your truck i think, upper and lower grille in black w/PTM surround and some harley head lights

Does the chrome grill include the chrome surround or not?

when/if you get it in, post pics. i love the way it looks, but it almost looks like it's recessed an inch or so behind the grille shell. i prefer the way most others look with it being flush with the shell.

the installation instructions i read were for a honeycomb grille swap that required cutting of the honey comb section. my dad's carriage works on his fx4 was a replacement of the whole h bar section. not sure why they didn't go that route.

No, none of the CW grills come with a surround.

Wow is that misleading. Where on this page does is spec that the surround is sold separately? Am I missing something?

Right, but if their grills are pictured with "optional" surrounds and that's not noted, that's pretty damn misleading.

Where are you seeing these "optional surrounds"?
