DEAL or NO DEAL??!?.. --- PICS --- inside!!!
I'd say wait... and buy a new Ford when the time is right for you. Sounds like right now, it will only cause more trouble then it may be really worth.
IMO, I don't like buying someone elses porject, ya know ? Buy a stock 2010 with the 6.2L boss motor then build it as YOU want it, not as this guy wanted it.
Also, I agree, work on moving out first man. Chicks dig guys with their own place, its kinda hard to say "Hey babe, let go back to my parents house" and still look good. And yes, free room and board may be nice, but doing it all on your own is more gratifying.

I dont care what he said, its so rare for someone to lift a truck up like that and not have fun with it. especially a 4x4. I guarentee you it has seen offroad abuse. I a firm believer in not purchasing a used lifted truck for that reason.
I agree with MercedesTech, find a nice stock truck and build it to your liking.

I have always had the impression to never buy a lifted truck. If you want a lifted truck buy one and do it yourself. I would say that truck has seem some mud...get underneath it and look at every little crack. Look at the motor from underneath for signs of mud and also in the cross bars in the frame. I wouldn't buy it IMO, but then again its not my money
Good luck with whatever your decision is.

ok guys.. lots to reply to, so ill try to get to them all....
- "its not what you buy, its what you build" ... trust me, i completely agree with that.. but honestly, i would be saving quite a bit of money.. i have been lookin at stock, used fx4's, and cant really find them with that kina milage for less than 22,000.... the lift and tires/wheels alone on that truck are over 5k.. than you have the system, train horn, dvd, etc.. i mean if i bought stock, i would have to spend about 8k to get it there.. that puts me at like 30k, and then i would be havign to spend money, or make payments... where in this case, i can either trade even, or sell for close to 25k, and be almost, if not, even.. the way i want to get him to see it at, is that if he trades me even, he will have a higher trade in value.. my stang holds better value, than the truck.. and since its lifted and all that, there not gunna give him more, maybe less.. so he wont get a trade in value higher than like 21 IMO.. my ex truck (sig) was only 19k trade in and only had 17k miles, and quite a bit done to it..
- about the movin out situation, and parents, and all that crap.. my dad lives in NC.. (i live wiht my mom/step dad here).. but he has his house down here still.. which is inbetween where i live now, and where i will be working (orange county fire rescue).. so what im proposing as an idea to him, is to let me move in there.. and maintain the place (lawn crap.. big place, 5 acres) and in return, let me stay there.. that way he doesn thave to pay someone to do it.. and i would save money by moving out there than anywhere else.. than i could park my trailor there, start my pressure washing business again.. dont have to worry about noise or any of that crap (kina in the sticks).. and basically... be able to get this truck!..
- and about the stang.. look at the first/origional post.. i am gunna post some info and pics...
