meehh, i wouldn't be too rough on those offroad. I cant stand seeing angles like this, our trucks have an excellent front suspension, its a shame to see people sacrifice it for a couple inexpensive inches of lift.

But hey, its only my opinion, im sure your truck will look great with the new tires.

I understand that its not exactly a 1.5 inch high spacer, but it leaves me with questions.
Thats just the way these Autosprings are. I have installed 3 sets of the 2.5" on different trucks. They all netted approx 3" of lift. I didn't want that much on my new truck, so I went with the 2" A.S., which netted me 2.5" of lift. I am not surprised that he got 2" of lift from a 1.5" A.S. at all. I think Autospring's tape measure is off a 1/2 inch.

I measured the AS before I put it in and it was 1.5" high. I think the height measurement is the height of the actuall spacer, which gives you about another .5" when installed.
Well, I got the tires mounted and they look sick! Sorry about not getting pictures, but I had to go from the tire shop to a basketball game and I didn't get home until 10 and I'm sick as a dog. I don't even know why I'm at work today.
The plan for this afternoon is to get the truck cleaned up a little and snap some photos, so until then, you'll have to wait.

I think those angles are pretty close to stock, no? I can't remember what mine looked like before. Anone got a picture? I haven't noticed any change in the ride at all. I think it is actually a lot smoother with the new tires. Handles much better, and the tires don't squeal when I go around corners at slow speeds anymore. That was my biggest complaint with the factory tires. I work at a school and they would always squeal when I left in the afternoon. People thought I was flying through that parking lot like it was a NASCAR track.

Stock has those CVs perfectly horizontal.

This one is close to stock:

Hmm... I see. I'll have to check mine out again now that the tires are on there. I think my picture is a little deceiving, as I wasn't holding the camera straight. It's not that big a deal to me anyway seeing as how I am rarely off road. I went with the 1.5" because it would put the least stress on the front suspension.

I never worry about the CV angles at all. The only wear should be on the ball joints with a leveling kit. You actually put the CV joints at a more severe angle when you turn the steering wheel to full knock (stock or mod) than a leveling kit will ever do. Besides, I have not heard anyone complaining about how a leveling kit destroyed the CV joints. The only time this happens is when a boot is torn, but that can happen with mildly offroading with a stock truck. I do, however, hear about the ball joints getting worn faster with a kit, but that is to be expected. Actually, I have heard about these ball joints going early on stock trucks too, so who knows. I have a 2 inch AS on mine now for 38K with no problems, but that could change soon.

The ride is great. I don't notice any loss in power, but I never dog it in the first place. The new measure ments with the tires are 40.5" in the front, and 41" in the rear.
The 1.5" kit is perfect for the super crews. Anything more and I would have been high in the front. I think the 2" and 2.5" are much better for the ext. cabs as they seem to have a steeper rake to them.
Any other questions, just go ahead and ask.

I agree, I went with the 1.5 inch lift too and it looks Sweet. Maybe not as nice as yours though!

btw, I've got about 80k miles on my AS lift with absolutely No problems with CV or Ball Joints at all...

Looks good man. A very nice difference compared to the anemic stockers.

And that's good news.
